Street Furniture
Award-winning Climate Adapted People Shelter (CAPS) for Penrith City Council.
The CAPS project aimed to re-imagine Sydney's bus shelters as Climate Adapted People Shelters through an open innovation design competition. The project involved transport users, local councils, planning and transport authorities, and the community at specific high-traffic locations in Western Sydney.
Liam led the design and presentation of the winning solution which was manufactured locally by Micron Manufacturing. Subsequent studies have recorded a significant reduction in summer daytime temperature compared to the older style bus shelters.
